About Juliana
The beautiful things were never the whole story
Collector, storyteller, and creator of The Felt Table
I'm Juliana. I've spent more than twenty years in food service, but much of what I know about making people feel welcome started at home. I enjoy the preparation: setting the table, cooking something special, and remembering the little things someone likes.
My collection began with a set of china given to me by someone I still think about whenever I use it. Over time, I added pieces, discovered other patterns, and became curious about who made them and whose tables they had been on before mine. Some pieces carry my family's history. Others are becoming part of it.
The Felt Table grew out of wanting to share all of that. I love the details of the china and glass, but I also want to tell you about the people connected to them, the midnight teas with my sons, and why I use the beautiful things instead of saving them for an occasion that may never come.
In The Collections, I share the patterns and what I've learned about them. In The Stories, you'll meet the people who helped shape my life. The Felt Room is where I'm bringing it all together at home, with room to sit down, have tea, and make a few more memories.
The table was never the point. It was simply where life happened.
